Madison said, "I love you" today. I went to get her from her afternoon nap, picked her up, and she gave me a huge hug (not unusal...she's big on hugs [just like her momma!]), pulled back and looked right in my face, and said, "Umi wovue woulea". I knew what she meant. To the untrained ear, it probably sounded like those dogs, whose owners swear their dogs talk to them:
"Wait, wait, just listen to what Fluffy can do!"
Owner: "Fluffy, I love you!"
Fluffy: "....."
Owner: "Fluffy, concentrate, I...love....you...."
Fluffy proceeds to curl up and go to sleep.
To the owner, I understand. We know they love us. At least mine gives me a hug.
No, this is not my dog, but it proves my point. The dog does sound like (s)he gets it out eventually, though! Maddie will get it with practice!
